Employee charged with stealing items from Marshall University stadium skybox
HUNTINGTON -- The following information was provided by reports filed with the Marshall University Police Department:
PETIT LARCENY: An employee of Tommy Distributing reported on Nov. 12 that someone stole a bar stool and mirror from a skybox at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Nov. 9.
Surveillance cameras recorded a man entering the skybox and leaving the stadium with the items.
A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with petit larceny, and the items were recovered.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A resident adviser in Haymaker Hall reported the discovery of a jar of marijuana and a set of digital scales in the room of a resident on his floor.
The resident, a 19-year-old male, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
LARCENY: A university employee reported a laptop computer was stolen from the television room in Twin Towers West sometime between Nov. 4 and 10. The employee said the laptop had been left in the room as part of a promotion for an online video service.
PETIT LARCENY: A male student reported someone stole his iPhone from his dorm room in Twin Towers East during the evening of Nov. 14. The phone was valued at $600.
