Police blotter: $575 in vandalism damage reported at car wash in Ona
The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office:
DESTRUCTION, DAMAGE, VANDALISM TO PROPERTY: The owner of Midland Car Wash reported that someone damaged the electronic bill changer, washing wand and a steel bracket Sunday at the car wash along U.S. 60 in Ona.
The owner said a person turned on the water to the washing wand and sprayed water into the bill changer for several minutes before spraying of a vehicle. The suspect put the wand back in its holder and began stomping on it, bending it and breaking off a steel bracket that was holding the wand in place. The incident was captured on surveillance.
The car wash sustained $575 in damage.
BURGLARY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 25-year-old woman reported that someone broke into her home along Sam Collins Road on Wednesday and took $1,330 in electronics and gaming equipment and electronics.
The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:
AUTO TAMPERING, OBSTRUCTING: Gregory Brian Loundenback, 33, of Huntington, was arrested in relation to felony fugitive from justice charges, misdemeanor auto tampering and misdemeanor obstructing charges Wednesday.
Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue Wednesday morning in response to a report of a person breaking into vehicles. Officers located a person matching the description of the suspect, and the person was apprehended. Officers found power tools, a pair of sneakers and more than $10 in change on the suspect.
A background check on the suspect showed he had outstanding warrants in Lawrence County, Ohio, for possession of drugs, fleeing and obstructing an officer.
Additionally, the suspect had provided Huntington Police with a false name. The suspect was arrested without incident and charged with auto tampering and obstructing in West Virginia before being extradited to Lawrence County.
FLEEING, OBSTRUCTING: A 28-year-old Huntington Man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor driving with a suspended or revoked license and misdemeanor domestic battery Thursday morning.
Officers attempted to stop a Chevy Cavalier in the 2300 block of 8th Avenue for traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the vehicle sped up, then slowed down before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot.
Officers caught up with the suspect in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue. A background check showed the driver had a suspended license. The driver was arrested without further incident.
The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Marc Alan Dowdy, 30, was incarcerated at 4:40 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with three counts of felony fraudulent use of an access device, misdemeanor fraudulent schemes and misdemeanor receiving and transferring stolen property.
Reginald Tyrone Pleasant, 21, was incarcerated at 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony burglary and receiving/transferring stolen property. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Jason Jay Martinez, 29, was incarcerated at 5:30 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony receiving/transferring stolen property. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Joshua Douglas Hatten, 21, was incarcerated at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. He was jailed by federal authorities. Bond was denied.
Eddie David Hill, 33, was incarcerated at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with multiple counts of felony grand larceny, along with misdemeanor driving on a suspended/revoked license. He also faces a felony possession of a firearm and a probation violation in Boone County, along with public intoxication and carrying a concealed weapon. Kanawha County authorities have charged him with a misdemeanor bail piece and petit larceny.
