Apple Butter Festival set for Saturday
BARBOURSVILLE — Barboursville City Park will be filled with the smells of apple butter making and the sweet sounds of country music on Saturday, as the Saturday Night Jamboree puts on the sixth annual Apple Butter Fest iva l .
Scott King, of the Jamboree, said they feel like they have found a home for the Apple Butter Festival, which is in its second year at the Barboursville City Park Amphitheater.
In years past, the Apple Butter Festival had taken place at Ritter Park as well as Harris Riverfront Park in Hu nt i ng ton .
This year’s fest starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Barboursville City Park Amphitheater with the Proctorville Mason Lodge F&AM making the apple butter.
Live entertainment begins at noon with karaoke. The Apple Butter Princess will be crowned at 1 p.m.
Karaoke will continue at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Harry O Trio performing until 3:30 p.m. when there will be a salute to Elvis.
At 5 p.m., The Jamboree will take the stage starring award-winning indie country artist Donna Cunningham, from Scioto County, Ohio.
King said they want to thank the Cabell County Commission as well as the city of Barboursville for working with the Jamboree to make the festival a success.
