Pro-lifers to rally at the Capitol

CHARLESTON -- West Virginians for Life offers a Pro-Life Rally and Day at the Legislature at the State Capitol beginning at noon Wednesday, Feb. 20. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pro-life citizens from across the state will visit with their legislative representatives during the morning to encourage support for limiting taxpayer funding of abortion legislation.

Keynote speakers will include Dr. Wanda Franz, National Right to Life committee president; and Bishop Bransfield of the Wheeling/Charleston Diocese.

West Virginia is one of only 18 states that fund abortion on demand. West Virginians for Life are supporting SB 307 and HB 3077, a bill that limits the taxpayer funding of abortion to cases of rape, incest and life of the mother.

The first 500 people to register on site will receive a free pro-life T-shirt. Immediately following the rally, West Virginians for Life will lead a prayer and walk through the capitol. For additional information, contact West Virginians for Life at (304) 291-LIFE.
