Hospital recognizes EMS workers, gives flights

May. 17, 2013 @ 11:20 PM

HUNTINGTON -- Cabell Huntington Hospital honored a special group of workers Friday with a sky-high celebration.

The hospital's emergency and trauma services treated regional emergency medical service personnel to a cook-out luncheon as part of National Emergency Medical Services Week, which begins Sunday.

HealthNet Aeromedical Services was also on-hand to offer members of the local media short flights in the newest aircraft in use at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The aircraft is used to transport patients to and from the hospital in the event of an emergency or in time-sensitive medical situations.
