Work underway on Kentucky 750 project
RACELAND, Ky. -- Work has started on a nearly $3 million project to rebuild Kentucky 750 (Pond Run Road) between U.S. 23 and Greenup Avenue in Raceland, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The project includes a new surface and sub-surface, a retaining wall, and dedicated left and right turn lanes with a new traffic signal along U.S. 23. The left turn lane on U.S. 23 south also will be extended.
Mike Enyart & Sons has been awarded a $2,959,750 contract to complete the project in 95 days, weather permitting, according to a news release. Temporary lane restrictions are expected this week as barriers are installed.
Once work begins on Kentucky 750, a section of the road between Chinn Street and Greenup Avenue will be closed from about May 22 to Aug. 14, according to the release.
