Escaped inmate captured in W.Va.
BECKLEY, W.Va. -- An inmate who escaped from the Beckley Correctional Center on Monday was captured Wednesday.
Joshua Greenwood, 30, was unaccounted for during a standard headcount at 10:15 p.m. Monday.
He was serving a one-to-10 year sentence for grand larceny in Cabell County at the time of his escape.
Greenwood pleaded guilty to grand larceny and misdemeanor driving under the influence on May 31, 2011.
A January 2011 indictment initially charged Greenwood with receiving stolen property, grand larceny, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended or revoked license because of a DUI conviction.
He was incarcerated at the Southern Regional Jail at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday.
