Vehicle strikes 12-year-old boy
HUNTINGTON --Authorities responded to a call of a car striking a young pedestrian at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Huntington Police Department officers on scene said that the 12-year-old boy suffered what appeared to be minor injuries after he was hit by a vehicle traveling in the 900 block of 14th Street West.
The officers also reported that the incident was accidental and that no charges would be brought against the driver of the vehicle. The driver was released from the scene after passing numerous sobriety tests.
One officer said that the boy crossed in front of the vehicle and the driver attempted to stop before colliding with the boy.
The boy was transported to a local hospital.
