ThunderTones to honor area first responders

HUNTINGTON -- The ThunderTones Chorus, in cooperation with the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District, will present a community celebration to recognize and honor the heroism and contributions of the local first responders.

The event "Let Freedom Sing" begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Ritter Park Amphitheatre. The opening ceremonies will include a tribute to the sacrifices made by local first responders.

Refreshments may be purchased in the amphitheater, and picnic baskets and lawn chairs are welcome.
