Blood donor center will be open March 17
HUNTINGTON -- The Huntington Donor Center will be open for blood donations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, March 17.
The St. Patrick's Day blood drive will include some giveaways like a balloon bouquet from Fruth's Pharmacy and coupons from area stores.
The center is located at 1111 Veterans Memorial Blvd.

Chocolate Extravaganza set for Saturday
ASHLAND -- The child advocacy center Hope's Place will host its 10th annual Chocolate Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Ashland Town Center Mall.
Chocolate vendors will sell their chocolate creations, and gift baskets will be sold to raise money for the Hope's Place, which helps child victims of sexual abuse.
Vendors are still needed for the event, as well as basket donations and volunteers. Anyone interested in purchasing advance tickets or in helping out can call Hope's Place at (606) 325-4737.
