Wayne County parents could pay lunch bills online
WAYNE -- Members of the Wayne County Board of Education will consider a measure on Tuesday, Jan. 21, that would allow parents to pay their children's lunch bills online.
The measure asks board members to approve the use of Parent Online by Cybersoft Technologies to aid parents who want to pay lunch bills online.
The county would absorb a 5 percent transaction fee that accompanies the system.
The board also will decide whether to approve a lease with Appalachian Service Project to use East Lynn Elementary School as a base for community service projects between May 29 and July 31.
In other business, the board will vote on a resolution to adopt the measurement periods for determining full-time employment status under the Affordable Care Act. The ACA defines a full-time employee as one working, on average, at least 30 hours per week or 130 hours per calendar month.
The Wayne County Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Wayne County Schools Central Office, 212 N. Court St., Wayne.
