Attempted armed robbery reported
HUNTINGTON -- Police were searching for a suspect Thursday night following an armed robbery in Huntington's Guyandotte neighborhood.
The incident was reported to Cabell County 911 dispatchers at 10:41 p.m. when an employee at the Rich Oil service station reported a man wearing a yellow sweatshirt entered the store and pulled out a knife.
The clerk told dispatchers the man demanded money, but he fled the scene when the clerk did not comply with his demands. The clerk told dispatchers the man fled on Bridge Street.
No one was injured in the incident, and nothing was taken.
