United Way to host special training event
HUNTINGTON -- The United Way Financial Stability Partnership will host an Earned Income Credit/Child Tax Credit Train the Trainer workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Downtown Branch of the Cabell County Library.
The event will feature a poverty simulation conducted by Richard Fleisher, West Virginia University extension specialist. The simulation places participants into family groups to negotiate through a compacted month-long time period.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Participants in the event will earn three Domestic Violence Advocate Certification CE hours at no charge.
