Police blotter: 20-year-old reports being shot in leg
The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:
A 20-year-old Huntington man reported being shot in the leg somewhere between the 600 and 800 block of Virginia Avenue on Sunday. Police report did not provide specifics on the incident.
ARMED ROBBERY: A woman reported being accosted by two men with guns and wearing black hooded sweatshirts and red bandannas outside her home in the 2100 block of 101/2 Alley on Sunday.
The woman and a friend with her were ordered to the ground, patted down and robbed. Stolen items included $1,000 in cash, a purse, ID cards and vehicle title.
BATTERY/ROBBERY: A resident in the 500 block of 6th Avenue reported being assaulted and robbed outside her apartment on Saturday.
The victim said two men attacked her from the back and stole $500 and her ID. The victim had multiple contusions to both eyes, the left cheek and the back of her head. She received treatment and was released.
BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Orchard Avenue reported several things stolen from his vehicle on Saturday. Taken were clothes, golf clubs, a car cover and a bag. Stolen items totaled $2,460.
GRAND LARCENY: The owner of a Les Paul guitar reported it stolen while it was inside the Thirsty Whale nightclub in the 1300 block of 4th Avenue on Friday. The guitar and case were valued at $5,100.
BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 3300 block of Brandon Road reported someone stole his guitar from his vehicle on Friday. The acoustic guitar was valued at $1,000.
The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:
A woman reported her purse was ripped off her shoulder while she walked across the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 3300 block of U.S. 60 in Huntington on Sunday.
The victim said a white Oldsmobile pulled up alongside her and an unidentified man hung outside the passenger-side window and grabbed her purse. The victim was spun around and knocked to the ground, causing a small cut on her finger and some bruising and scratching along her neck and shoulder.
The purse contained $900 and various credit cards.
LARCENY: A woman reported someone stole the air-conditioning unit from outside of Curves located in the 4600 block of U.S. 60 in Barboursville on Saturday. The stolen unit was valued at $5,000.
The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Bonnie Kay Flamont, 45, was incarcerated at 9 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with felony delivery of a controlled substance. Bond had not been set.
William Edward Hargis, 18, was incarcerated at 8 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony count of receiving and transferring stolen property. His bond was set at $10,000.
