Youth Leadership project seeking financial sponsorships fo program
ASHLAND -- Youth Leadership of Boyd and Greenup Counties, a project of the Ashland Alliance, is seeking financial sponsorships for the 2013/14 program.
Participants in the program are juniors from all high schools in the two counties. They spend one day a month in sessions that focus on such topics as economic development, government, community improvement, arts and culture, volunteerism and leadership development. The program's goals are to instill in participants a sense of responsibility for their own lives and the lives of others as well as to develop leadership skills so these young people can take part in shaping the future of our region.
Each member pays a tuition fee of $80 which covers about one-fourth of the program's cost. Several sponsorship opportunities are available. Sponsors and contributors will be recognized at the Graduation Banquet in March and in a press release.
To become a sponsor or to learn more about Youth Leadership, call the Ashland Alliance at 606-324-5111.
