Police blotter: Resident allegedly beaten on 5th Ave. for money, diamond earrings
Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:
A resident in the 200 block of 5th Avenue reported being beaten and robbed on Sunday. The resident said unknown suspects began assaulting him and took $400 and two diamond earrings valued at $1,000. The victim was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital and treated for multiple injuries.
Injuries included multiple lacerations to the face, lacerations to his ears after his earrings were pulled out, an eye swollen shut, cut lips and scraped arms.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 800 block of 6th Street reported two TVs, a computer, Nintendo Wii and DVD player stolen from her apartment on Sunday. The stolen items were valued at $1,700.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 600 block of 5th Street West reported a TV, jewelry and clothes stolen from his residence on Saturday. Stolen items totaled $1,660.
STOLEN AUTO: The owner of a 1998 Buick Century reported his car stolen while it was parked in the 1200 block of 4th Avenue. The car was valued at $5,000.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 300 block of Lynda Court reported jewelry, a TV, two printers, a digital camera and a Nintendo Wii stolen from her residence on Friday. The value of the stolen items was $2,250.
LARCENY FROM AUTO: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Hal Greer Boulevard reported a digital camera and lens stolen from his vehicle on Friday. Stolen items totaled $2,400.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 100 block of 11th Street reported a laptop computer, DVD player, CD player and a belt sander stolen from her residence on Friday. The stolen items were valued at $2,800.
Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Office provided the following information:
A resident in the 7100 block of Beech Drive in Huntington reported two gaming consoles and a 32-inch TV stolen from her residence on Friday. She listed the stolen items' value at $1,250.
Booking records from the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:
Herbert Allen Meade, 84, was incarcerated at 2:55 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony malicious wounding and assault. Bond was set at $15,000.
Scott Lee Bunner, 40, was incarcerated at 12:45 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony forgery and obtaining property under false pretenses. Bond was set at $2,000.
Chad Edward Beckett, 18, was incarcerated at 4:30 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary, along with misdemeanor fleeing on foot and obstruction. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Justin Dan Wiley, 18, was incarcerated at 4:30 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon without a license. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Larry Don Hooker, 30, was incarcerated at 12:05 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with three counts of felony forgery of a credit card, entering without breaking and misdemeanor obstruction. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
