Veterans assistance reps to visit Wayne County
WAYNE -- Representatives from the West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance will begin regularly scheduled visits in the Wayne County area on July 25.
Those representatives, which will include a veterans service officer and veterans social worker, can provide guidance to veterans who wish to file for benefits or need connected to resources such as education, finances, housing, employment, counseling and more.
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
Visits will be conducted at the following locations:
Second Tuesday of each month, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fort Gay Senior Citizens Center, Fort Gay
First Wednesday of each month, 1 to 3 p.m., Step Town Senior Citizens Center, Kermit
Third Tuesday of each month, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wayne Senior Citizens Center, Wayne
Every Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Huntington VA Medical Center, Huntington
