Man reports car stolen during the weekend
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:
STOLEN AUTO: A 65-year-old man reported someone stole his vehicle, worth $10,000, while it was parked in a lot in the 800 block of 14th Street West sometime between Friday and Tuesday.
GRAND LARCENY: A 67-year-old man reported on Monday that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took $1,000 in money orders from inside the car, which was parked in the 800 block of Madison Avenue on July l1.
BURGLARY: A 30-year-old woman reported someone took $2,350 in appliances and $200 in carpet from a residence she owns in the 800 block of 26th Street sometime between June 25 and Tuesday.
BATTERY, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A 35-year-old woman reported she was carrying a birthday cake to a party in the 300 block of 5th Avenue Tuesday evening when a man approached her and slapped her wrist, causing the cake to fall to the ground. The woman had redness to her wrist, but she refused medical treatment at the scene.
The following information was provided by criminal complaints filed in the Cabell County Magistrate Court:
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Derek Austin Young, 20, of Huntington, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
A man who was a passenger of a vehicle involved in a traffic stop in the 500 block of Richmond Street on Tuesday was found to have five bundles of heroin in his pants during a safety patdown, a Huntington Police officer said in the complaint.
Young's bond was set at $10,000.
The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Brandon Lee Madden, 31, was incarcerated at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was $50,000.
Xavier Marcuss Quentrill, 19, was incarcerated at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony cultivation of marijuana. Bond was $10,000.
Tyler Joseph Piaseczny, 21, was incarcerated at 1 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Harold Roy Midkiff, 27, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony forgery, along with two counts of misdemeanor first-offense shoplifting and one count receiving/transferring stolen property. Bond was $30,000.
Joseph Scott Reeves, 29, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony kidnapping, unlawful assault and robbery. Bond was denied.
