Vehicle break in, stolen items reported on 3rd Avenue

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

BREAKING AND ENTERING AN AUTO: Unknown person(s) reportedly broke out the rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of 3rd Avenue sometime before 1:26 a.m. Thursday. Items reportedly stolen from the vehicle include a $500 purse, $20 wallet, a Canon touch screen digital camera valued at an estimated $500, and a $50 purse.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: An unknown suspect reportedly cut the phone line to a business in the 2800 block of 8th Avenue, pulled an air conditioner unit from the window, and entered and took a computer valued at $1,000 sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8:55 a.m. Wednesday.

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect reportedly forced entry into a residence in the 100 block of Larkspur Drive around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, stealing a Mac laptop valued at an estimated $2,000.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) reportedly broke into a residence in the 2700 block of 3rd Avenue sometime between 6:15 p.m. Wednesday and 12:20 a.m. Thursday, taking more than $7,000 in items. Missing items include three flat-panel televisions, a Canon digital camera, a laptop computer, an mp3 player, an Oakley laptop case, headphones, and $125 in cash.

RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO: A victim reported an unknown suspect stole his Dodge Neon while it was parked in the 800 block of 61/2 Alley on Wednesday between 12:05 and 1:20 a.m. He reported he checked his coat with the vehicle's keys in the pocket when he went into a bar in the 800 block of 7th Avenue. The vehicle was found by Huntington police around 2:30 a.m. unoccupied in the 1600 block of 8th Avenue.

RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO: A Chevrolet pickup truck reported stolen also was recovered from the 800 block of 8th Avenue on Wednesday around 1:35 a.m.

Reports from the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:

Clifford Anderson Ball was transported to jail by Mason County authorities and booked at 11:20 Thursday night. The 28-year-old is charged with a felony count of forgery or possession of counterfeit currency with intent and a misdemeanor count of passing or receiving unauthorized currency.

Wayne Edward Smith, 25, was arrested by Cabell County authorities at 4:05 Friday morning and charged with a felony capias for counterfeiting.

James Douglas Frye, 19, was arrested by Cabell County authorities at 6:50 a.m. Friday and charged with a felony count of nighttime burglary.

Gregory Lee Williams, 38, was incarcerated around 3:05 p.m. Friday, on violation of a work release.

James Selph, 39, was arrested around 3:05 p.m. Friday on one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of obstructing and interfering with a police officer. He was transported to jail by Putnam County court authorities.
