Moe’s to reopen this weekend at Pullman

HUNTINGTON — Moe’s Southwest Grill will have a grand re-opening Saturday at Pullman Square.

Located at 912 3rd Ave., Moe’s will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offer giveaways this weekend, including burritos, T-shirts and movie passes.

Moe’s closed in January after the owner and Metropolitan Partners, the leasing agent for Pullman Square, had some trouble coming to a lease agreement.

Franchise owner Barb Wood was planning to relocate to 9th Street, but Metropolitan eventually contacted Moe’s corporate headquarters about re-negotiating the lease, Wood said.

“We finally came to an agreement with terms that were pleasing to both parties,” she said.

The restaurant sells Tex Mex food with a Southwestern flair and soft drinks.  It provides catering as well.

“It’s great food, classic music and a good-time environment,” Wood said. “It’s going to be just like it was with new artwork and new menu selections, along with the old favorites.”

Some former employees are coming back, but the restaurant is still hiring, Wood said.
