College financial aid information sessions offered free of charge
HUNTINGTON -- Information about college financial aid will be available as part of College Goal Sunday, a free program scheduled at several local locations.
The first sessions will be in Kentucky from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Ashland Community and Technical College's College Drive Campus.
West Virginia and Ohio will have the sessions on Sunday, Feb. 10, at the following times and locations: 1 to 4 p.m. at Marshall University, Marshall University Mid-Ohio Valley Center at Point Pleasant, Lincoln County High School in Hamlin, Putnam County Career and Technical College at 300 Roosevelt Blvd. in Eleanor, W.Va.; Ohio University Southern in Ironton and Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio.
The dates for the sessions were incorrect in Wednesday's edition of The Herald-Dispatch.
Financial aid application assistance will be provided for high school students, who are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian. Students are encouraged to bring the following information: a driver's license, Social Security number, parent's Social Security number, parents' and student's current tax records as well as records of investment income.
