Animal group to host 'Mardi Paws' event
HUNTINGTON -- One local animal support group is kicking off its second year of existence on the right paw.
Friends of the Shelter will host a "Mardi Paws" fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Logan's Roadhouse in Barboursville. Funds collected during the event will go toward the construction of a new outdoor shelter at the Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter.
A $20 donation will be requested at the door, and the event will include hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction.
