Second man arrested in pharmacy robbery
HUNTINGTON -- A second man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a robbery at a local pharmacy one week ago.
John Thomas Beaver, 30, was charged with first- degree robbery in connection with a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy at the corner of 8th Avenue and 20th Street on Feb. 13.
His arrest comes six days after Jeremy Johnson, 30, was arrested by police at his home along Staunton Street in connection with the robbery.
The two men entered the store at 11:30 a.m., and Johnson passed a note to the cashier demanding money from the register and indicating he had a gun, Det. Ryan Bentley said in the criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
In the complaints, Bentley said Beaver stood behind Johnson as a lookout during the robbery.
The cashier gave the men an undetermined amount of money, and they fled the scene, Bentley said in the complaint.
Beaver was incarcerated at the Western Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond Wednesday night.
