Local church hosts fish dinner during Lent

HUNTINGTON -- One local church has been ready and willing to literally cater to Huntington families who are observing Lent each Friday night during the period of religious observance.

Our Lady of Fatima Parish and Parish School has sponsored Lenten Fish Dinners on Fridays during Lent at its Parish Hall along Norway Avenue.

The menu for the event includes baked fish, fried fish, fish tacos, popcorn shrimp, baked potato or French fries, green beans, hush puppies, cole slaw, dessert and drink. A children's menu as well as shrimp cocktail are also available. Adult dinners are $10 per person. Shrimp cocktail is an additional $3. Children 5 through 12 are $7, and there is no charge for children 4 and under. Families of four or more are $30.
