Former bouncers heading to prison
HUNTINGTON -- Two former bouncers at the Silver City bar in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue were sentenced Monday by Cabell Circuit Judge Alfred Ferguson to two to 10 years for a 2010 incident at the bar.
Lazarus A. Poindexter, 33, and w Eugene Harmon, 34, both entered Kennedy Pleas, which means they accepted the punishment without admitting guilt. They each had originally been charged with two felony counts of malicious wounding, but a plea deal brought the charges to two felony offenses of unlawful wounding.
Harmon and Poindexter were accused of getting into a bar altercation with members of a wedding party in June 2010.
The initial charges stemmed from injuries suffered by a man identified as the wedding's groom.
