Commercial for CVB to be shot downtown

December 09, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- A portion of the 900 block of 4th Avenue will be closed late Tuesday afternoon as Trifecta Productions turns back time for a special promotional video it's making for the Cabell-Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The block will be closed from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, as Trifecta and the CVB shoot a 1950s style commercial that promotes holiday shopping in downtown Huntington.

Trifecta invites community members to dress in 1950s-era clothing and come down for an open casting call for the shoot.

Those interested in being extras are urged to check Trifecta's Facebook page for a gallery of photos that can be used as a reference for appropriate attire. It can be found at http://www.facebook.com/trifectaproductions?fref=ts.

"Join in the fun as we present Huntington as our 1950s Jewel City," Trifecta Production Coordinator Chelsey Hughes said in a letter to downtown business owners, whom it asked to decorate their storefronts for the event and remove items that would not have been around in the 1950s.
