Search for lost dog named Patchi still on

Dec. 12, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- A group of community members is still looking for a lost dog named Patchi. Jonda Lowe, who's been visiting from Jacksonville, Fla., has been looking for the dog since he was lost Nov. 1 in downtown Huntington. She's offering a $1,500 reward for his safe return.

Patchi is a white Jack Russell Terrier with a brown and black patch over one eye, shaggy white hair on his back and a cropped tail. He has reportedly been seen in the area of 6th Avenue and 1st Street. On Wednesday, volunteers plan to gather at 1st Street and 6th Avenue to hand out flyers and hold signs in hopes of making more people aware of the situation, according to Heather Carver, a volunteer helping with the search. They'll also be asking motorists in the nearby FoodFair parking lot if they can write Patchi's information on their back windshields to get the word out.

Anyone with information about Patchi is asked to call or text Lowe at 904-477-5494 or Carver at 304-633-7351.
