Health department to offer free smoking cessation class
HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell-Huntington Health Department is offering a free smoking cessation class from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 22, at the health department, 703 7th Ave.
The goal of the class is to help participants feel more prepared and confident about quitting smoking and other tobacco products. Topics include increasing understanding of tobacco dependence; understanding the mental, physical, emotional and biological effects of tobacco use; understanding the benefits limitations and proper use of cessation medications; and creating a realistic quit plan.
