28-year-old escapee held at regional jail

BARBOURSVILLE -- A 28-year-old man was being held at the Western Regional Jail on Thursday, after he allegedly escaped from custody in Wayne County.

The Wayne County authorities charged Harvey Hood with felony escape, along with misdemeanor fleeing and obstruction. He was incarcerated at 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records.

Several area police officers from different agencies assisted in his capture.

Hood was being held on a $250,000 bond.
