HUNTINGTON -- A Cabell County man faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine after he pleaded guilty Monday before U.S. District Judge Robert C. Chambers to possession of child pornography.

Roger Gilmore, 42, of Milton pleaded guilty to possession of hundreds of images on his home computer depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

According to court documents, many of the images and videos depict prepubescent minors, several of which have been identified as known victims by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Gilmore will be sentenced on Feb. 22, 2010.

The Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the West Virginia State Police jointly conducted the Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston is handling the prosecution.

In a separate case, James Paul Blake, 23, of Huntington was sentenced Monday to 12 months imprisonment on a charge of stealing firearms. Blake pleaded guilty in August 2009 to stealing three firearms from a Huntington residence.

The conviction stems from an investigation conducted by the Huntington Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and ATF's River City Gun Crimes Task Force.

According to court documents, Blake stole a 12-gauge shotgun and two rifles on October 8, 2008. Johnston handled the prosecution.
