Huntington Fire Department recruitment drive begins Monday
HUNTINGTON — The Huntington Fire Department’s recruitment drive seeking men and women as probationary firefighters will begin Monday, Jan. 14.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 with a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
Applications may be picked up in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 800 5th Ave., and must be returned by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 12, to be eligible for testing.
A written exam will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 19, followed by physical ability tests on April 16 and 17. Candidates who make it through the process will be placed on a civil service hiring list for three years.
