Get healthy: Hospice to offer holiday bereavement counseling
ASHLAND -- A special grief counseling session will be hosted by the Community Hospice bereavement department in November.
Preparing for the Holidays is a grief support group for anyone who has suffered a loss and is facing the holidays without his or her loved one. The group is open to the public, not just those who have been served by hospice.
Two sessions are planned for Tuesday, Nov. 11. A daytime session will meet from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and a second evening session will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Both sessions will meet at the Community Hospice office, located at 1538 Central Ave., Ashland.
Preparing for the Holidays offers participants the opportunity to talk about their loss, understand the grieving process, spend time with others in similar situations and receive guidance on coping during the holidays.
