Woman steals puppy from Petland store
BURLINGTON, Ohio -- Authorities are looking for a woman who took a 3-month-old Shih Tzu puppy from the Petland store.
A heavyset woman with curly, blonde hair and wearing a white T-shirt asked to see the puppy. When an employee stepped away to take care of something, the woman fled the store with the puppy on Friday, according to a news release.
The store has all of its puppies with an implanted microchip with HelpmefindMYPET.com, a service for lost or stolen pets.
Anyone with information about the puppy is asked to contact HelpmefindMYPET.com.
The puppy weighs only three pounds and needs a lot of care, according to Petland.
