Lexington man injured in one-car crash on I-64 in Boyd County
COALTON, Ky. -- A Lexington, Ky., man was injured Thursday morning in a one-car crash on Interstate 64 in Boyd County, according to a news release from the Boyd County Sheriff's Department.
Jason D. Hans, 41, was air lifted to St. Mary's Medical Center following the crash that was reported at 9:04 a.m. at the 185 mile marker. He was headed eastbound when his vehicle went on the shoulder of the road.
The driver apparently overcorrected and slid back across both lanes of travel and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to get him from the vehicle, according to the release.
