Cabell Huntington to host heart health talk

HUNTINGTON -- Cabell Huntington Hospital's Cardiology Services is hosting a discussion titled "Early Heart Attack Care: What Can You Do," from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Huntington's Kitchen, 911 3rd Ave.

Katherine Cunningham, a certified heart failure nurse, will speak on the basics of symptoms and early steps you can take during a heart attack. Heart disease is America's No. 1 killer, and participants will learn how to respond quickly why someone shows the early signs of a heart attack.

Registered dietitian Daniel Jarvis will demonstrate techniques and discuss recipes for a heart-healthy diet, and participants can help prepare food during the event.
