Four arrested in meth lab bust

WINFIELD, W.Va. -- West Virginia State Troopers arrested four people on drug charges after discovering an active methamphetamine laboratory in Winfield, W.Va., on Saturday.

Troopers out of the Winfield Detachment received information concerning the operation of an active meth lab at 2194 Winfield Road, Lot F in Winfield.

According to a state police press release, troopers confiscated ingredients and materials necessary for the production of methamphetamine. As a result of the search, four people were arrested at the residence.

Norman Christopher Duff, 38, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory and conspiracy to operate a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory.

Franklin Shayne Shamblin, 40, of St. Albans, W.Va., was charged with possession of methamphetamine, attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory and conspiracy to operate a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory. A mugshot of Shamblin was unavailable.

Cameron Edward Dunn, 19, and Bonnie Mychelle Mateo, 27, both of St. Albans, were each charged with attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory and conspiracy to operate a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory.
