How to voice your opinion
Do you strongly favor or oppose the Cabell-Huntington Health Department's proposal to ban smoking in bars and video lottery parlors? Here's a look at how you can make your opinion heard:
Public comment: The health department is taking written comments on the proposal through Friday, Jan. 15, 2010. Written comments should be mailed to the board in care of the health department at 703 7th Ave., Huntington, WV 25701.
The draft regulation is posted for public viewing at the Cabell County Courthouse, 750 5th Ave., Suite 300; Mayor Kim Wolfe's office at Huntington City Hall, 800 5th Ave.; Cabell County Public Library, second floor reference department, 455 9th St.; Cabell-Huntington Health Department, 703 7th Ave.; and on the health department's web site, www.cabellhealth.org.
Copies of the proposal will be available at the health department upon request.
Public hearing: The health department will host a public hearing on the proposal at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28.
