Daisy Troop selling cookies for community garden

January 20, 2010 @ 12:00 AM

LINCOLN COUNTY -- Lincoln County's Daisy Troop 2731, which only has three first-grade girls, wants to use Girl Scout Cookie proceeds to plant a community garden.

The girls hope to sell 300 boxes, which will enable them to purchase flowers and gardening supplies. If there is any leftover funds, they would like to purchase craft supplies so they can do projects with residents at Lincoln Continuous Care Center in Hamlin.

Troops receive 60 cents for every box they sell at $3.50 per box.

For more information, or to place an order, call Lisa Counts at 304-526-2747, ext. 747 after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, or at 304-824-7369.
