Art, music spill into Ashland streets
HUNTINGTON -- The streets of Ashland were lined with old cars, new art and plenty of music during the First Friday Art Walk for August.
This month's event featured a reception for the "Groundbreaking Images" exhibit at the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center. The exhibit featured work from local artists who were free to interpret the "Groundbreaking" theme as they saw fit. The exhibit will be on display until Aug. 30.
The exhibit was sponsored by the Boyd County Public Library's adult summer reading program, "Groundbreaking Reads."
The event also featured an antique car show on the plaza and live music inside the Pendleton Art Center.
