Ohio man charged with sex assault, burglary
HUNTINGTON -- A Proctorville, Ohio, man has been arrested on charges related to someone breaking into a Salt Rock home to have sex with a teenage girl who was younger than the age of consent.
The incident happened early morning Monday, according to Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas. Deputies found an adult man inside the room of the 15-year-old girl. Indications are the man entered through her bedroom window without the owner's consent.
Justin Adam Walters, 24, was incarcerated at 5:30 a.m. Monday. Deputies charged him with felony third-degree sexual assault and burglary, according to McComas and jail records. Bond was set at $150,000.
McComas said it was an isolated incident. He explained third-degree sexual assault, also considered statutory rape, prohibits children from giving consent to such activity. Therefore, the burglary charge was levied due to the unlawful entry into a home with intent to commit a crime.
