22 arrested by authorities during drug investigation

HUNTINGTON -- Authorities arrested 22 people during a drug investigation Wednesday, 11 were misdemeanor charges or misdemeanor warrants, and 10 were active felony warrants or felony of possession with intent charges, according to Huntington Police reports released Thursday.

The following people were arrested Wednesday with active felony warrants or felony possession with intent charges:

James Edjuan Patton, 31, of Huntington, was arrested about 9:15 a.m. in the 600 block of John Marshall Drive. He was charged with possession with intent.

Lilly Relf, 44, of Huntington, was arrested about 9:15 a.m. in the 600 block of John Marshall Drive. He was charged with possession with intent.

Franklin Ray Tackett, 50, of Huntington, was arrested about 2 p.m. in the 2100 block of 10th Avenue. He was charged with possession with intent.

Stacy R. Thurmond, 42, of Huntington, was arrested at 11 a.m. in the 1500 block of 7th Avenue. She had an active warrant.

Christopher A. Ivey, 23, of Huntington, was arrested about 10:15 a.m. in the 1200 block of 9th Avenue. He had an active warrant.

Jaron Reed, 19, of Huntington, was arrested about 10:58 a.m. in the 1600 block of Charleston Avenue. He had two active warrants.

Nancy Kay Ballengee, 42, of Huntington, was arrested about 9 a.m. in the 1400 block of 7th Avenue. She had an active warrant.

Telese Brown, 34, of Huntington, was arrested about 9:20 a.m. on 19th Street and 9th Avenue. She had an active warrant.

Joseph Griffin, 52, of Huntington, was arrested about 9:43 a.m. in the 1000 block of 10th Street. He had an active warrant.

David A. Payne, 37, of South Point, Ohio, was arrested at 10 a.m. in the 1600 block of Charleston Avenue. He had two active warrants.

All 10 suspects were apprehended between 9:15 and 11 a.m.

The Huntington Police Department's Drug Unit, S.W.A.T. Team, DEA, Cabell County Sheriff's Office, and West Virginia State Police assisted in the drug sweep and several months of investigation.
