"Check My Bag" campaign begins Monday
HUNTINGTON -- Eight local businesses and organizations will participate in a competition to help job-ready women become financially independent.
Dress for Success River Cities is challenging the employees of those eight business and organizations to donate both money and professional handbags next week to fun the non-profit's operating expenses and replenish its accessories inventory. The winner will be announced on March 31.
Participants are Fifth Third Bank, First Sentry Bank, Guaranty Bank, Huntington Internal Medicine Group, Huntington Junior College, Jenkins Fenstermaker, Prudential Bunch Co. Realtors and Tri-State Society for Human Resource Management.
The campaign is called "Check My Bag" as a way of highlighting the need for donors to write checks as well as donate much-needed professional handbags.
