Band and float winners announced
ASHLAND -- The Winter Wonderland of Lights Christmas Parade was held in downtown Ashland on Nov. 20.
Here are the winners of the band and float competitions.
Band winners
1st Place: Paul G. Blazer High School Marching Band
2nd Place: Chesapeake High School Marching Band
3rd Place: Ironton High School Million Dollar Marching Band
Float Winners
1st Place: Grace Church of the Nazarene
2nd Place: Sunrise Children's Services
3rd Place: Fifth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church
The Winter Wonderland of Lights continues at Ashland's Central Park. Train Rides and Visits with Santa in Central Park will be Dec. 7-9; 14-16; and 21-22. Also, there will be pictures with Santa in Ashland oldest home, the Log House.
"Karaoke and Pizza with Santa & Trolley Rides around Central Park" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Transportation Center (99 15th St.), Ashland. This event is free and for Kindergarten to 6th grade children and is sponsored by the Ashland Bus System, Kentucky Farmers Bank and Winter Wonderland of Lights Festival.
