National organization to launch in Cabell County
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The National League of Junior Cotillions, a program of etiquette, character education and social dance training for middle and junior high school students, plans to establish its program in Cabell and Kanawha counties.
The purpose of the program is to give students instruction and practice in the courtesies through a creative methods of role playing, skits and games. Standard ballroom and line dancing is taught using nationally approved top-40 music.
National director Elizabeth Anne Winters said in a press release that they will select a director of the local chapter. They will receive complete training and a territory for expansion, she said.

The organization currently has directors operating hundreds of chapters in 37 states.
