Swinefest 2008 needs parade participants

HUNTINGTON — Parade participants are needed for Swinefest 2008, scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Guyandotte.

All types of parade participants are needed, including school bands, dance studios, local church groups, Boy and Girl Scout troops, fraternal societies and civic organizations.

Swinefest organizers will present a Best In Show/Parade trophy.

Staging begins at 5 p.m. at Staunton Street and 3rd Avenue in Guyandotte. The parade goes 10 blocks, ending at the Guyandotte United Methodist Church on Main Street.
