Starlight Cinema shows 'Speed Racer' tonight in Harris Riverfront Park

Starlight Cinema to illuminates riverfront park this weekend

Clear and cool nights are expected for today and Saturday as Starlight Cinema makes a return to Harris Riverfront Park after several years on hiatus.

Showing Friday will be “Speed Racer,” rated PG, and Saturday’s movie is the card-sharking thriller, “21,” rated PG-13.

Don’t forget to bring the lawn chairs and picnic blankets before heading to the park located in Huntington along the Ohio River. Gates open at 7 p.m. and movies start at dusk.


Admission is free with a ticket. Tickets will not be available at the gate, but they are available at The Big Sandy Superstore Arena, Heiner’s Surplus Store at Washington Avenue and 13th Street West, The Herald-Dispatch and five locations of Big Sandy Superstores: Teays Valley, Ashland, Chesapeake, Kenova and Ashland Outlet Stores.
Concessions are available. No outside food, drinks or coolers are permitted for the alcohol-free event.
