Coach Snyder to speak at ‘Voices of Leadership’ series

HUNTINGTON — Marshall University head football Coach Mark Snyder will be the first speaker in a new series titled “Voices of Leadership,” presented by Leadership Tri-State.


The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 with a reception and appetizers in the Big Green Room at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Snyder will begin speaking at 6:30 p.m.


The event is open to the public. Admission is $15 in advance or at the door.


The series features leaders from all walks of life who will give presentations focusing on their leadership tactics and what traits work best for being an effective leader.


“We couldn’t ask for a better way to begin than having Coach Snyder open our new series,” said Tyson Compton, current chairman of Leadership Tri-State, in a prepared statement. “He exemplifies a great leader in every aspect.”


Those attending the event are welcome to come early and watch the team as it finishes practice for the day. Attendees also will have the opportunity to touch the turf and check out the view from a skybox.
