Harless Center receives donations from DirecTV
HUNTINGTON -- The June Harless Center for Rural Educational Research and Development, part of the College of Education at Marshall University, recently received a $10,000 donation from DirecTV to fund Pre-K through 12th-grade programs.
The money helped pay for a Nov. 10 event for children and their families that focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and math. The goal was to engage children with hands-on, interactive technology focused on science, engineering and mathematics.
Future events may include after-school programs, summer camps, teacher training and other outreach.
