Culture Center to show holiday movies for free

CHARLESTON -- Free holiday movies as well as children's activities are available Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 26 to 28, at the Culture Center at the State Capitol in Charleston.

Christmas movies will be shown twice, noon and 3 p.m., and activities will be available in the Great Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

"Arthur Christmas," a PG-rated 3D animated film about how Santa delivers toys on Christmas night, will be shown on Wednesday. It runs for 97 minutes.

"Brave," a PG-rated animated film about a princess who resists her parent's wishes for marriage, will be shown on Thursday. It runs for 100 minutes.

Secret of the Wings, a G-rated animated film about Tinker Bell and her friends, will be shown on Friday. It runs for 92 minutes.
