Food to be distributed to those in need Jan. 24
HAMLIN, W.Va. -- The Huntington Area Food Bank will distribute food to those in need in Lincoln County at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Lincoln Primary Care in Hamlin, W.Va.
According to a Feeding America report, nearly 6,000 Lincoln County residents lived in poverty in 2010, or more than 25 percent of the county's population. Proof of residency must be presented at the time of registration. Individuals who are picking up food for someone else must provide the food recipient's proof of residency as well as a notarized permission slip from the food recipient.
